Tomatoes have also been planted and harvested successfully and the next planned crop will be potatoes. The project is of Regional and National importance as it benefits the local community through sustainable job creation and skills development. With the current 80 tunnels the project has created 27 sustainable jobs. Employees are former disadvantaged communities residing within the jurisdiction of Mogale City Local Municipality.
